I have a large workbook shared between several people on a very large network, I want to track UserName, Date, Time and which PC accessed the workbook on a log sheet. Anyone have an Idea.

Excel Facts

Round to nearest half hour?
Use =MROUND(A2,"0:30") to round to nearest half hour. Use =CEILING(A2,"0:30") to round to next half hour.
you could use this to get the log in name of the user

user = Environ("UserName")

and log this in a new sheet on Change or Before Save
you could use NOW to find out the date time stap as well

hope this helps

Thanks for the quick response.
I already have that information in the log sheet, I need to know which PC the access came from.
cheers.

Hello - I noticed your thread and I am looking for something similar. However, I am still a beginner with VBA. I need only to know who (username) has viewed the workbook I have the code in. How do I do this? Thanks!
