I have a spreadsheet that a couple end users will be updating. I would like to track the following within the spreadsheet so that the users will not update a cell with old information:

-User editing the cell (username?....possibly)
-Date (If possible Time as well)

I was thinking of trying to do this using Comments. Does anyone have any experience with this? I am not sure where to get started. Also if you think Comments are not the way to go can anyone give me any ideas?

Thanks

Excel Facts

Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
Thanks for link. This looks like it will work. I will have to do some modification but it looks good.

Thanks again
