Trailing Spaces in Workbook

I have a workbook that gets automatically emailed to me every morning. I save this file to a folder on my computer and have several power queries that use this workbook as the data source.
If I drag the workbook from Outlook to my folder, open the file, and then save it, everything works as it should.
However, if I simply drag it over without opening and saving the file, there are trailing spaces in the workbook.
These trailing spaces mess with the power queries I have built. I could go in an and add a trim function to each query but 1) I shouldn't have to do that and 2) I don't want to do that.

How do I get these trailing spaces removed without having to open and save the workbook?

there are trailing spaces in the workbook.
What do you mean "in the workbook"? In one of the cells?
Or do you mean trailing spaces in the filename of the workbook?
If you mean the filename, are the trailing spaces after the extension?
How many trailing spaces are there?
