Training on vba for excel in india

Dear All,

I am from Mumbai (India) and in accounts field. i do not have any programming backgroud but i want to learn VBA coding for excel.

Anyone can tell me that where i can get a proper training on VBA for excel as wherever i checked it is found that there are training cources that teaches only VBA as an individual application & not in co-relation with excel.

pls. help.

Welcome to the Board!

There's not really any standardized training for VBA that I can think of, and I've never seen a publicized class for it.

You can start with a Google search for "Free VBA Tutorials".

Your most immediate training tool will be the macro recorder. Play with it recording some everyday tasks, then read the code and see if you can tell what it's doing. It becomes pretty intuitive very quickly. Just note that the recorder records almost everything that you do, including screen navigation, most of which is unnecessary, but you'll learn how to weed all of that out.
