Is it possible to have a macro attached to a file so that when someone sends the file to another person, it is capable of being run for the other person?

Excel Facts

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
As long as the macro is in the workbook that is being sent, then yes.

Just note that if you are emailing the file, some email programs/settings may strip the VBA code from the file (as a security measure).
And it is dependent on the user on the other side enabling the macros when they open the file.
