Transfering 2003 macros

I have just updated from 2003 to 2010. Seemed to go smoothly.
In one spreadsheet I had quite a number of Macros. There was a warning about macros not being transferred but they are in fact all there and most of them worked. The Open macro added two new Menu items, both with four or five submenu items, linked to Macros. When I clicked Add-Ins I found the two former menu items and when I clicked them the showed the right submenus.

Can I add these "Add-Ins" to the ribbon and work as I used to in 2003 ?

I've converted the worksheet.

Links? Where??
If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.
Yes, you can customise the Ribbon via the Options dialog in 2010.

Appreciate your quick answer but I am afraid that I need a lot more help.

I need to know how to add two menu items to the ribbon. I don't understand how to do it from looking at the customise tab. Can you recommend a tutorial or detailed step by step instruction page.

I am afraid an easy answer like "Yes you can customise the ribbon doesn't help" but thanks anyway.

In the Customise Ribbon dialog, you need to change the top left dropdown to Macros, then select your macro, select which tab you want it to go on the ribbon in the right-hand list (or use New Tab to create a new tab), then click the New Group button and Add the command(s) you want.
For a more pictorial guide, see here.

Thank you very much indeed for your help. Following your instructions and looking at the Chandoo guide to which you referred, I was able to customize the ribbon to do just what I wanted.

One minor point. I really only want these tabs and groups for one Worksheet which I use a lot. It doesn't bother me to have the tab appear in other worksheets but in 2003 I had an auto_open and auto_close macro to add these items to the menu. I'm not sure I could rewrite these macros to customise the ribbon just for one sheet.

Thanks again.

If you add the items to the Quick Access Toolbar instead, you can specify that they only appear for a particular workbook.

In that case you are left with RibbonX - see Ron's pages here. (it's not as bad as it may look at first glance)

Thanks for the pointer to RibbonX. I've looked at the page, It does look hard !! The instructions are very detailed..

I've made a note of it and I may try later.
