I have excel 2007 and the following worksheet:

Store 1 Store 2
Item Units Sold Units sold
SB2 3 6
SB3 4 6
So8 1 2

I need to transpose as follows:

Store Item Units sold
1 SB2 3
1 SB3 4
1 So8 1
2 SB2 6
2 SB3 6
2 So8 2

I have about 30 stores so manually would take along time, any way to convert automatically?

Excel Facts

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
Hmmmmm, no one knows how to transpose data in 2007 on this site? This was a 10 second process in 2003........

Anyone know of a site where there are excel 2007 experts?

There are plenty of experts that use Excel 2007 on this site, but it probably didn't help that you posted the question to the wrong forum and then bumped it less than a half-hour later (I moved it to the correct one).

Transposing data works much the same way in Excel 2007 as it did in Excel 2003. Just highlight your data, select Copy, pick the cell you want to paste the top corner too, right click on it, and select Paste Special and pick Transpose.

However, your example does not look like a straightforward transpose. So how did you used to do this in Excel 2003? Perhaps you had a macro that did it?

Where this question is now, in the "Excel Forum".
It was originally posted in the "General Excel Discussion & Other Questions" forum (you can still see the re-direct there from the original post). Note the description of that forum:
*Do not post questions about Excel or Access in this forum* This forum is for Excel-related discussion and questions concerning programs other than Excel or Access. This is also the place to ask about book suggestions or other websites.

My mistake then, I usually post all questions here, so not sure how I got it posted to the other forum.

But I figured it out for those looking for a Data transpose question for Excel 2007.

The solution was quite simple(after I did it), I highlighted the entire sheet and chose copy, then moved below my data to a blank row, then right click, choose paste special, click on Paste:values and Operation: transpose.

Yes, that is pretty much what I said in my response above yesterday.
We switched from Excel 2003 to Excel 2007, and I did it this way in both versions.
