Hi Guys.

How do i display Vlook up results horizontally?

It has to be a vlook up and not a Hlook up. I can copy and transpose the data but this is time consuming.

E.G 5,8,7,5

A B
Index Data
1 5
2 8
3 7
4 5

Ive tried this to no avail: =VLOOKUP(A2,A1:B6,2,FALSE) Also
=VLOOKUP($A2,A1:B6,2,FALSE)

The required result would read

C1 C2 C3 C4
5 8 7 5

Excel Facts

Select a hidden cell
Somehide hide payroll data in column G? Press F5. Type G1. Enter. Look in formula bar while you arrow down through G.
With your datarange from A1 to B4, put this formula into C1 and copy to the right...=VLOOKUP(INDIRECT("A"&COLUMN()-2),$A$1:$B$4,2,0)

Hi vmeista:

Welcome to MrExcel Board!

In addition to the contribution from Indiatrix, you may also use the following array formula for cells D1:G1

=TRANSPOSE(VLOOKUP(A1:A4,A1:B4,2))

as in the following illustration ...
Book1
ABCDEFG
1155875
228
337
445
Sheet2
