Tricky (?) Question - re: File Recovery

I was working on a spreadsheet, and inadvertently exited out without saving. I had not yet saved the workbook yet, so it was just 'Book1', for which there appears to be an autorecover exception in Excel.

Is there anyway to still extract this file - I was thinking that knowing Microsoft, it is probably hidden on my hard drive in some type of temp folder or cache...

any thoughts would be most appreciated!!

(Using Excel 2007, by the way)

Can you AutoAverage in Excel?
There is a drop-down next to the AutoSum symbol. Open the drop-down to choose AVERAGE, COUNT, MAX, or MIN

Unfortunately I think you are SOL. I haven't used 2007, but a handful of times, but I know pre-2007 it is gone. Autorecover typically only kicks in if Excel crashes. Which did not happen in this case.

Sorry its probably not the answer you want to hear.

yeah - pretty much what I thought too, but figured I'd give it a try before drinking to my stupidity. :)
