Trigger a Macro when Draqg & Drop is Enabled ???

Macro question: I have some worksheets that are used in many locations. As in any complicated Excel workbook, moving some input cells - as in "drag & drop" - is harmful to the workbook as it can change the formulas that reference the moved calls. So I have an autorun macro that disables drag & drop when the workbook is opened.

Still some (mostly new users) manage to enable drag & drop and get into trouble. So ...

Is it possible to trigger a macro if/when the user enables drag & drop in the Tools/Edit menu? If so I could put up a messagebox and explain why this is not a good idea right then and there. If so, what code would do that?

Regards,

Vernon

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.
once i had the same problem but since my data sample were not large, i tried to name the related cells (from the insert menu) and then call the cell as

'x = range("nameofthecell") '

in VBA.

i don't know if there was any solution as you mentioned.
