How would I get Excel to run a simple macro if certain names from a drop down list (H6) are selected?

Excel Facts

Fastest way to copy a worksheet?
Hold down the Ctrl key while dragging tab for Sheet1 to the right. Excel will make a copy of the worksheet.
How many names are in the list to allow the macro to work,

you could use a change event macro with select case "joe", "Fred" etc
with case else exiting sub

Try this: right click the sheet tab, select View Code and paste in

Code:
Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)
If Target.Address(False, False) = "H6" Then
    Select Case Target.Value
Case "Colleen", "Fred", "Anna": Call Mymacro
    End Select
End If
End Sub

Change the names and the name of the macro to suit.

Hi Peter, This looks like it could work, however I'm not at the office right now, I will try this tomorrow, also it looks straight fwd enough to be able add or subtract "the selected names)
PS, The simple macro is to simplyto unhide 3 rows, whenever 1 of certain names are selected from a drop down list. But that's pretty simple and easy enough to do.
Thank so much for your help
