I have few spaces at the start of the text below namely 3 spaces which I am trying to eliminate using the trim formula. When I am trying to eliminate them it is not working, calculating number of characters using a LEN before and after is giving me still 19 characters, what could be the reason

Fastest way to copy a worksheet?
Hold down the Ctrl key while dragging tab for Sheet1 to the right. Excel will make a copy of the worksheet.
What does CODE in combination with LEFT, eg CODE(LEFT(A1)), give you?

Have you tried using CLEAN instead of TRIM?

What you probably have there are not spaces but some other character that resembles a space

1. Copy the character from the cell and
2. Paste into a substitute formula like this =SUBSTITUTE(A1," ","") and see if that works for you
