Trim Function

Hello,

I am using Excel 2010

Is it possible to use the trim function in cell - i.e. without a helper column? Right now, I want to trim the contents of column A and am doing this is column B pointing to column A then copy>paste>paste values

Your help appreciated

Try a macro

Sub aTrim()
Dim LR As Long, i As Long
LR = Range("A" & Rows.Count).End(xlUp).Row
For i = 1 To LR
    Range("A" & i).Value = Trim(Range("A" & i).Value)
Next i
