Trim in Power Query does not remove extra spaces between words

I noticed that Trim does not remove extra spaces between words.. only the leading and at the end spaces, If I have something like this

John Smith

then PowerQ will keep it as it is but if I hav something like tis

John Smith

Then I will get

John Smith

is that by design? Thank you very much.

Sorry, this form deleting the space between the first name and second name. Anyway, please see attached excel file. Trim() function deleting the spaces between the first and last name while PQ trim did not. Thank you very much.
