I have a spreadsheet logging files by box #, file #, status, and name. There is no problem sorting by any of the other fields but when I try to sort by box # it seems to create two seperate sets of info eg. it will sort from 1000-1700 then start at 1000 again and sort another set of info. I have tried reformatting the cells even though I was under the impression that excel will sort but what is in the cell despite any format variation so naturally that didn't work but I am pretty much out of guesses at this point. Some help would be much appreciated.
