Hi,

This is my formula:

=IF(O4="","",SMALL(IF($C:$C=O4,ROW($C:$C)),COUNTIF(O$4:O4,O4)))

I want to add if($b:$b=n2,ROW($b:$b). I tried putting it in the middle but it says theres an error in the formula, what am i doing wrong?

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
You can't attach files can you?

Steviefiege,

It is always easier to help and test possible solutions if we could work with your actual file. Perhaps you could upload a copy of your file to a free site such as www.box.com or www.dropbox.com. Once you do that, mark it for 'Sharing' and you will be given a link to the file that you can post here. Include a detailed explanation of what you would like to do referring to specific cells and worksheets. If the workbook contains confidential information, you could replace it with generic data.

You cannot upload files to this site. But there are tools you can use to post screen images. They are listed in Section B of this link here: http://www.mrexcel.com/forum/board-a...forum-use.html.

Also, there is a Test Here forum on this board that you can use to test out these tools to make sure they are working correctly before using them in your question.

What do you want to achieve as n2 is the heading and b column is the column where the position, Goal keeper is written

If you look down in the N column, theres a player there called Jones, Louis, he shouldn't be there, it should be Amos, Danny. Whats happened is is that its looked for the first person with that rating & found him. I want it to look at the position which is in n2 so it finds the correct player, the one with the rating who plays in that particular position.
