Can anyone provide me with a formula that looks in a cell containing a date(B12) and returns one value if the date contains Jan or Jun , and another value if it doesn't?I have tried using the IF function but as the date in B12 can change, the corresponding value won't .Hope this makes sense

Excel Facts

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
Sorry but his formula only returns yes or no ,not changing as the corresponding date in b12 does. The date in b12 is the sum of 2 other cells if this makes any difference

You will have to explain further with some examples of what is in B12 and what results you want from the formula.
