Trouble with Last Row

        SearchOrder:=xlByRows, SearchDirection:=xlPrevious).Row
'        MsgBox "The Last Non-Blank Row Is " & LastRow
        Range("AN4:AN" & LastRow) = "*"

I keep getting the same error, and I don't know why!
Ive declared DIM LastRow as Long

Run Time Error 1004
Method Range of Object_Global Failed

What am I doing wrong?

Ohh..."E:E" not "E4:E". I should have seen that.
