i'm moving data from one program to excel, and it comes over saying (for example)

0 days
121 days
3 days

I need to remove the word "days" (always 4 digits) from data like this, is there a quick easy way to do it....

Excel Facts

How can you automate Excel?
Press Alt+F11 from Windows Excel to open the Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) editor.
you could always select the range go to Edit - Replace then type in " days" - make sure to add the space at the beginning.

=(LEFT(A1,FIND(" ",A1,1)-1)) will return the number of days as text, if you want the number of days as a number, try =VALUE((LEFT(A1,FIND(" ",A1,1)-1)))
