Trying to achieve certain format in single spreadsheet

Using Excel 97, Windows 2000 Pro

The objective is to get a large amount of text to insert into a cell/textbox/label/other on a spreadsheet and have it autosize to the size of the text. I also want it so that text cannot be inserted behind the textbox/cell (if required to use an autoshape).

1) Can it be done?

2) If so, how?

3) If not, can you get close to the objective?

If it can be done in another version of Excel it's okay - my company will look at upgrading to another version if this can be achieved.

Large amount as in probably a page worth in Word.

The New Crane and existing crane shall be fitted with collision to prevent them from colliding at full speed. Removable Buffer extensions are included.

SPECIAL FEATURES:

The crane shall be fitted with the Heavy Duty Bottom Block.

The crane shall be fitted with a load cell and Load display. The system can only be zeroed when registering 10% of Maximum Rated Capacity or less.

The crane shall be Radio Controlled WITH SPARE TRANSMITTER

ii) Use existing Collectors from the existing crane for the new crane to tap into the existing Wampfler Conductor Bar.

Also, I want it so that if the text is inserted say in a row of cells between two filled lines, those cells below the text drop down to the bottom of the text without having to move them manually.
