hello

i am trying to add a math formula to a if statement and i don't know why it isn't working.i hope someone here knows how to fix this

this is my formula =IF(E57="yes:",=G16-G62-G60,=G16-G62)

if i put quotations around the "if true" and "if false" statements the cell shows the math formula

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
Remove the two equals signs from the return arguments
this is my formula =IF(E57="yes:", G16-G62-G60, G16-G62)

What is the formula you tried?
=IF(E57="yes:", G16-G62-G60, G16-G62)*-1 should work.

Some of the other formulas offered would require parenthesis.
=(g16-g62-(g60*(e57="yes")))*-1

this is for another page on the work book

=IF(AND(disbursement!E57="yes:",disbursement!I12>0),disbursement!G16-disbursement!G60,IF(disbursement!I12>0,disbursement!G12*-1,""))

the bold part is where i want to have the negative
