Trying to auto sort rows from one tab to another

I receive monthly reports that contain aprox. 200 rows of gas sample analysis data and I post it on tab "Mar_Samples-2013". I have another tab called "Historicals" which I update monthly with those analysis. My historical tab is constant however my sample data can be spotty and I'm needing to create a simple way to copy and paste the sample data into a tab which will automatically post the correct rows of the sample data with their matching historical rows.

Example: Tab "Historical A2" is meter ID 7000, but on my sample analysis report, meter ID 7000 may come in on my Tab "Mar_Samples-2013" A10...

Is there a way that my sample tab can read the meter ID and automatically post it in the correct row in my historical tab???

My apologies if I didn't explain this clearly...

Any help will be deeply appreciated!
