Trying to modify pop up calendar vba script

I downloaded an excel file that has a built in pop up calendar. I want to change it so it only shows the month and date, but I can't seem to figure out how to do that. If I try to change by right clicking on the cell and choosing format cells and take out the year there, the pop up doesn't work anymore.
