Hi. I am hoping someone can help me. I am trying to build something from my office where I can put reference numbers in to a form and then the infomation relating to the jobs can be automatically pulled from the red book to the form.

For example I am wanting to put 01:01:0001 - p1:01:0004 and then find the relevant data for all the reference numbers for all numbers in that data point.

Could anyone help?

Excel Facts

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
Is it possible to upload a desensitized sample workbook (using a file sharing site, like dropbox for example) so we can see the data layout of your file?
If you have a source list from which you want to extract the info based on the range of reference numbers, one could use Excel's advanced filter feature to do this. Having a sample of your file will help us to assist you getting a speedy resolution.

Please find attached the test excel worksheets.

I am trying to pull the information from the Ref book onto the Cargo Manifest.

I have attached the Refbook seperatly but as you will see the ref book will be on the same workbook as the cargo manifest.

Any help will be amazing :)

I have looked at the workbook you have uploaded.

To confirm:
If you type a ref number range in cells I13 and P13, do you want the rcords that meet those conditions to appear in the table area (starting at cell B21) below the initial labels in range A10:A18?

BTW: What is the ref number to use? The sample numbers you show in your opening post does not match any numbers in your file? Is it the FILE REF# in the A column?

Hi Rudi

File Ref# is the Unique idenitfer I wish to use to pull the data but puttuing them into I13 and P13

So for example say i have a job with 3 cilent they will be:

01/01/0001 Joe Bloggs
01/01/0002 Peter Parker
01/01/0003 Bruce Wayne

Then all the relevant infomartion that comes across relanting to those jobs.

Does that make sense?

TX...it makes sense.

I see you only have 7 rows in your form to accommodate returning results? I take it the filter result wuill never issue more than 7 results?
