Hey all need some help with the bellow. I have data that has been copied and pasted from another Cloud based system (They dont have an extract Function). Where Once copied it has formatted the data by Colons (in a time format h:mm:ss). What I am trying to do is separate the Hours, Mins and Seconds into their own individual cells. However as seen in the bellow screenshot for the columns V,W,X they only seem to work if there is a "-" in front of the referenced data which is in Column F. If it does not contain a "-" then it produces an error.

Any help will be much appreciated

Excel Facts

Difference between two dates
Secret function! Use =DATEDIF(A2,B2,"Y")&" years"&=DATEDIF(A2,B2,"YM")&" months"&=DATEDIF(A2,B2,"MD")&" days"
Nathan what I can understand is -
  • Either there is problem with format in column F & G - I wonder why there is a "-"sign before time.
  • Then, there could be some glitch with formula you are using in column V, W, X -
Somehow with screenshot both can't be identified. If you can explain both. or better upload a small sample data using XL2BB utility to test things and deliver you a solution.
