Turn #N/A To White Text

I had to solve a graphing issue by outputting a #N/A when there is no data. How do I get the text to turn white if the output of the cell is #N/A? I tried using conditional formatting, but I seem to have an error in my formula. I was using: A1=NA(). Any ideas? thanks in advance.
