Morning All,

I have a workbook with numerous work sheets, and on one of these sheets is a large area with quite complex formulas. This is slowing the whole operation of the workbook. I would like to be able to turn off the automatic calculation function for just this area.. possible just recalculating after a macro is run.... Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

How can you turn a range sideways?
Copy the range. Select a blank cell. Right-click, Paste Special, then choose Transpose.

Hi cob98tp,
You can set calculation to "manual" via Menu ->Tools ->Option; chose the "Calculation" tab, check "manual" in the Calculation area.

Then you can use F9 to recalculate the whole workbook.

Via macro you can mix the following instructions, according what you wish to do:
Code:
Application.Calculation = xlAutomatic  'Automatic Calculation
OR
Code:
Application.Calculation = xlManual      'Manual Calculation

Code:
ActiveSheet.Calculate 'This will calculate the ActiveSheet only

Code:
Calculate 'This will calculate the complete Workbook

Hope this will work for you.

Bye,
