I have a spreadsheet with the following columns:
Project Manager | Project |
---|---|
The dropdown list for column is populated from another list by the UNIQUE function in Data Validation | I want this list to show only the projects that are managed by the project manager in the previous column as a dropdown list |
This works very happily with this formula in Data Vaildation: =SORT(UNIQUE('Project&Enhancement'!AB9:AB1520)) | I have created the formula '=FILTER('Project&Enhancement'!J9:J1520,'Project&Enhancement'!AB9:AB1520=INDIRECT((ADDRESS(ROW(),COLUMN()-1))),"No Name Found”) Which relieves the name cell but I can’t get this to populate as a dropdown list. I could make this work if I could temporarily store the output of the FILTER function somewhere and then use a =<Cell Reference># construct within data validation to create the list. |
Is what I want to do possible WITHOUT CODE? Many thanks, David. |
