I have a spreadsheet in standard landscape mode. I want to type into a header cell names running vertically to keep the cell space narrow underneath. How do I do this? I am using Excel 2007. Change alignment that shows text at 90 degrees but when I type in the cell it doesnt work?

It works when I hit enter! My goof!

Thanks
Rob

How can you turn a range sideways?
Copy the range. Select a blank cell. Right-click, Paste Special, then choose Transpose.
Not sure about Excel 2007, but this is a fairly standard option in previous versions.
Format>Cells>Alignment Tab

Also, FYI, you can create a line feed in a cell using ALT+ENTER
