I have 2 workbooks that are the same for 2 different accounts. I do my development work in workbook #1 and then I copied the new sheet from workbook #1 to workbook #2. Now when I open workbook #1 I get the following message.

The workbook you opened containes automatic links to information in another workbook. Do you want to update this workbook with changes made to the other workbook. ..... YES ..... NO

The sheet that I copied over did have formulas in some cells, only relating to other cells on the same sheet. How can I un-link these 2 books

Would appreciate some help on this.

Thank You: Gene Gould OD

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
welcome to the board

First you need to find the linked cells

next remove the links,
by either copying the cell then pasting value(this way there will no longer be a formula in the cell)

or to fix the formula so its no longer a link

linked

=(('[test.xls]R PLAN'!K11*35%)*1.08)*'[test.xls]PLANS'!$AW$1

unlinked

=(('R PLAN'!K11*35%)*1.08)*PLANS!$AW$1

this is the line creating a link
[test.xls]

hope this helps
