Hi all

I was reading this thread
http://www.mrexcel.com/forum/showthread.php?t=531731

No problem reading it.

Post #4 contains a link to another thread on this board
http://www.mrexcel.com/forum/showthread.php?p=2331614

My problem comes when I try to follow that link - I get a new window with this message.....

"Gerald Higgins, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
  1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
  2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation. "
I'm not knowingly trying to edit someone else's post, access admin features, or access some other privileged system - at least one and probably two users in the original thread seem to have access to this "hidden" thread. And I don't think my account has been disabled.

Anyone have any ideas what's going on ?

OK thanks Peter.

It looks as if that other thread was visible yesterday to those other users - did it get removed yesterday ? For some reason I assumed it was an old thread.

No, it was removed about 3 weeks ago. allanm was a contributor to the other thread so probably had a link to it saved.
