Hi

Cell B1 contains a link with the word ACTIVITY. I change the font to Segoe UI size 9 and it works fine until I next open the workbook, when it reverts to the default Comic Sans MS and it's driving me nuts.

I recently changed the default hyperlink font to Comic Sans MS in the Excel Styles toolbar, which I guess is what's causing the problem but I still want all other current and future links to be in Comic Sans MS font.

Help appreciated!

Many thanks

How to fill five years of quarters?
Type 1Q-2023 in a cell. Grab the fill handle and drag down or right. After 4Q-2023, Excel will jump to 1Q-2024. Dash can be any character.

You've answered your own question really Paul !!
Try changing the style on B1 to some other style....It's still a hyperlink

I'm sorry, I haven't answered my own question. I said I've changed the font in that cell many times and the next time the workbook opens it reverts to Comic Sans MS.

I've tried changing the style but it applies to the whole sheet, not just cell B1 that I selected when I changed the style.

Yes, that's what I tried and it then applied that font to all the links in the sheet, even though I only selected B1 before I went to Styles etc...just as you said.

I recorded a macro creating a new style for that cell, then put the macro in the wrokbook_open event

Thanks Michael. I've already tried putting code into the worksheet_open event and it makes no difference. I can actually see the font change back to Sans Comic MS.

Works fine for me...I'd suggest you have a code somewhere changing it back to the hyperlink style
VBA Code:
 Sheets("Training Log").Range("B1").Style = "Mykel"

Not much difference in 'em Paul
Exercise Log.xlsm

Hmm...I put this in the worksheet_open event
VBA Code:
Sheets("Training Log").Range("B1").Style = "Segoe UI"
and it returned error 450.
