I am working on an assignment, and it asked to extract data from a database but I was unable to do it. This message popped up:

"Microsoft Excel cannot complete this operation because the ODBC Driver Manager is not installed. To install the ODBC Driver Manager, run Setup and install the database driver for the type of database(s) you want to access."

I went to the excel website and it suggested I download/purchase some driver manager programs. Does anyone know if there are ODBC driver manager that are free?

When did Power Query debut in Excel?
Although it was an add-in in Excel 2010 & Excel 2013, Power Query became a part of Excel in 2016, in Data, Get & Transform Data.
