I have a relatively new workbook that I’ve been developing for a few weeks mostly without Win 7 problems . Then today whenever I open the workbook I started getting the old friend message:
<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
“This workbook contains one or more links that cannot be updated.”
<o></o>
When I open the links for editing, I see there are 5 workbook names in the list.
<o></o>
Under the heading “Type” all entries have the value “Worksheet”.
Under “Update” all entries have “A” (which I’m guessing means “Automatic”).
Under “Status” all entries have “OK”. However, when I fiddle around with things, all the ”Status” values change to “Unknown”. If I press the button “Check Status”, all entries that were “Unknown” change back to “OK”.
<o></o>
Jeez, I hate when this happens. Does it strike you that there’s something a little weird about a message that says something is wrong, then shows a status of “OK”?
How do I interpret this message? What does it want me to do? The workbook seems to be functioning OK.
