Unexpected "Rank" Result

Greetings - I have a remarkably simple set of numbers (in columns a-e below). They are all input directly into the SS, not calculated, looked up, etc. None is longer than one decimal position (these are not rounded results). They are then Summed and the summed column is ranked using =RANK(F2,$F$2:$F$8)

Though four of the summed numbers = 2.4, two of them are ranked as "4" an two are ranked as "6". Can anyone help me understand why they are not all being given the same rank (of "4").

I'm no expert but will be down to Excels precision when calculating, 0.5

if you altered your sum formula to round(sum(range),1) you should find you get 4 ranks of 4.
