Unexpected textreplacement

Hello all,

I have a number of cells, formatted as text:
"U: 06785,18492"
"U: 06461,19582"
"U: 06157,18542"
.....

I want to remove "U: " from all cells.
When i use Edit|replace the contents changes to "0678518492".
As you can see the comma disapears too, that's not what i want.
Can somebody tell me how to replace and keep the comma.

Solved!

Changed listseperator in regional settings from , to ;

That's a weakness of Replace. It converts it to a value even if the cell is formatted as Text.

SUBSTITUTE works if you have a spare column:

=SUBSTITUTE(A1,"U: ","")

and it still works if you convert the result to a value via Copy/Paste Special.
