Good day all,

I have developed an ordering system using excel forms.

The user types and selects information on the userform then presses the "send" button.
Thie extracts the information and emails the data to me in a standard text email format...thats fine, works great.

One enhancement i would love to add is a reference number that appears and is assigned to each order, making it unique.

I was thinking of something like the number of seconds since a certain date for example.

Any ideas how i could implement such a wild and crazy scheme?

Many thanks

G

Excel Facts

Wildcard in VLOOKUP
Use =VLOOKUP("Apple*" to find apple, Apple, or applesauce
I would be inclined to have accountable consecutive serial number issued so that if i did miss one in the process, I would have a way of knowing one was missing......I guess this is going back to my audit days....

hope this helps
