Hi everyone!

I have a workbook that I have placed a password protection on. When I unprotect the workbook, I can edit all of the contents but it will not let me rename the tab or add a new sheet. How can I fix this?

Excel Facts

Return population for a City
If you have a list of cities in A2:A100, use Data, Geography. Then =A2.Population and copy down.
Are you sure that you have unprotected the Workbook, rather than a worksheet

It sound like you have workbook protection set.
On the Review try clicking Protect Workbook

That worked. Everytime I looked at that one I thought it would say UNprotect workbook if I had it protected! Thanks for the help!

Glad to help & thanks for the feedback.

Unfortunately it doesn't say UnProtect the same way that sheet protection does, but if the workbook is protected then the icon should be highlighted.
