Unreadable content

Hello Everyone,

I have a 2007 xlsm workbook that contains several macros and userforms. The main sheet of the workbook also contains about 10 buttons across the top, each having macros assigned.
The workbook also uses VBA code to insert pictures as a comments in 1 column, if the picture exist.

about 1 month ago i received an error when opening the workbook, "Excel found unreadable content in Payments.xlsm. Do you want to recover the contents of this workbook? When i click yes, I get another error message informing me, Excel was unable to draw objects.

When this happens all of the pictures have been removed along with the 10 buttons on the main sheet of the workbook.

1. This only happens when the workbook is being opened
2. There is no code that references the buttons or pictures before it closes or when it opens.
3. There is no other errors.
4. Sometime it goes 1 month, and other times is only takes 2 days to trigger.
5. There are buttons on other sheets that are not affected, only the ones on the main sheet.

Any advice would be greatly helpful.

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
Can you restore a version that was stable before a month ago?

No, I did a major upgrade. I looked at all the new code
and forms, there is nothing that I see that will cause this.

Rebuild it. Copy the contents of sheets into the new workbook ( do not copy the sheet objects ). Copy any sheet code, export forms and modules, and import them to the new book. I know it seems like a lot of trouble, but it sounds like your current book is corrupt.
