Can I set some cells to be filled in and once other cells on that line have a number in them, the cells be unfilled?

Excel Facts

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
It sounds like "Conditional Formatting" may do what you want.

Can you you post specific examples of what's required?

Well in this case one of the rows would be this:
N11 would be filled in with a color
this cell would be unfilled if L11 and either K11 or M11 had any text or numbers whatsoever

I can write most of the formula for coloring the entire row, but how do I make the value of a cell to click on it or start typing on it. I only want it to highlight while that row is being used.

like highlighting the rows as you read them line by line.

Is this actually possible?

So you are saying that if (using your example) you select any cell in row 11 (active row) and there is something in L11 and K11 or M11 the cell would highlight. If you then select a cell in row 12 the cell in row 11 would un-highlight regardless of the condition of L11,K11 & M11?

If this is the case I'm not sure if conditional formatting could do that. VBA may be required.
