Im using VBA to insert the following formula in a cell

Cells(row + k, "D").Formula = "=INDEX(Tables!$B$27:$H$27, MATCH(MIN(ABS(Tables!$B$27:$H$27-'User Input'!C" & row2 + 1 & ")),ABS(Tables!$B$27:$H$27-'User Input'!C" & row2 + 1 & "),0))"

I should get this

=INDEX(Tables!$B$27:$H$27, MATCH(MIN(ABS(Tables!$B$27:$H$27-'User Input'!C20)),ABS(Tables!$B$27:$H$27-'User Input'!C20),0))

but i get unwanted @ after ABS as:

=INDEX(Tables!$B$27:$H$27, MATCH(MIN(ABS(@Tables!$B$27:$H$27-'User Input'!C20)),ABS(@Tables!$B$27:$H$27-'User Input'!C20),0))

why is excel doing this and how to stop it ?

Thanks

Excel Facts

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
You need to use Formula2 rather than Formula
