Update a function as soon as columns are added

Hello

I have another situation where in AM column I have this function Sum(c44:Aj44). However I download new data and new columns are added. Hence it may reach AL in that case how can I update the sum function to accomodate for additions in columnns

Just a thought (maybe), but in your AM44 enter

=SUM($C44:OFFSET(AM44,0,-3))
