hello
I have this code splits data into multple sheets based on write column number into input box . I would mod this code by making more flexible to select multiple columns together for instance I would split data based on three columns together when write in inputbox like this 1,3,5 . is that possible guys?
VBA Code:
Sub parse_data()
Dim lr As Long
Dim ws As Worksheet
Dim vcol, i As Integer
Dim icol As Long
Dim myarr As Variant
Dim title As String
Dim titlerow As Integer

Application.ScreenUpdating = False
vcol = Application.InputBox(Prompt:=" which column should  filter?", title:="column filter", Default:="3", Type:=1)
Set ws = ActiveSheet
lr = ws.Cells(ws.Rows.Count, vcol).End(xlUp).Row
title = "A1"
titlerow = ws.Range(title).Cells(1).Row
icol = ws.Columns.Count
ws.Cells(1, icol) = "Unique"
For i = 2 To lr
On Error Resume Next
If ws.Cells(i, vcol) <> "" And Application.WorksheetFunction.Match(ws.Cells(i, vcol), ws.Columns(icol), 0) = 0 Then
ws.Cells(ws.Rows.Count, icol).End(xlUp).Offset(1) = ws.Cells(i, vcol)
End If
Next
myarr = Application.WorksheetFunction.Transpose(ws.Columns(icol).SpecialCells(xlCellTypeConstants))
ws.Columns(icol).Clear
For i = 2 To UBound(myarr)
ws.Range(title).AutoFilter field:=vcol, Criteria1:=myarr(i) & ""
If Not Evaluate("=ISREF('" & myarr(i) & "'!A1)") Then
Sheets.Add(after:=Worksheets(Worksheets.Count)).Name = myarr(i) & ""
Else
Sheets(myarr(i) & "").Move after:=Worksheets(Worksheets.Count)
End If
ws.Range("A" & titlerow & ":A" & lr).EntireRow.Copy Sheets(myarr(i) & "").Range("A1")
'Sheets(myarr(i) & "").Columns.AutoFit
Next
ws.AutoFilterMode = False
ws.Activate
Application.ScreenUpdating = True
End Sub

1,3,5 it works , but if I select 1,5 it gives error. and if I select 5 works , and if I select 2 it split just the last item in last row

I expect the code is flexable about theses cases .that becuse use inputbox to put any column should split based on it .

Excel Facts

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.

With the data sample you put in post #3, the macro works for 1,3,5 - 1,5 - 2, etc.
Maybe you have blank rows, cell errors. I don't know, there are several factors that can stop the macro.
For example. If you choose a column with a date, then the date format should be changed to something like: dd-mm-yyyy

I ran the macro, for 1 for 1,2 for 1,2,3 for 1,3,5, for 1,2,3,5 repeatedly and at no point did I get any error.
