update field with date and time from a printed form

Hi, i have a form which i need to print out on a regular basis but i need to know the last time the form was printed. is there a way i can print the form and then get the system to update a field in the table showing the last time the form was printed. the form currently shows in print preview first.

any help would be appreciated.

I would convert the form into a report that is printed.
Then using the example at MS KB # 154894 - ACC: How to Maintain a Print Log for Reports

Then in your form just reference the print log table for the last print date.
