Update Query Question

I am running a query on a table and then on the next step I am using this query to update some fields in the same table. In doing so I am getting an error
"Operation must use an updateable query"

What is it telling, how can I accomplish my task?

If I make a table out of the first query and then use this new table to update my original table then it works fine.

I have come across the same thing before. If there is ANY query involved that is a non updateable query (i.e. all Aggregate Queries are non-updateable), even though you are trying to update the table, and not the query, it gives you this message and won't let you do it.

I have had to do what you found works for you. Make a temp table, and use that table in the Update Query instead.
