Update Win Lost sheet

A long of a group of friends of mine have our own little weekly basketball league where we play one on one and keep track of wins and losses. Right now the matches by week is its own file and the records of who has how many wins and losses is in another. What I am trying to do is be able to place who wins and loses in the matches file but the wins and losses auto update. Does anyone know how to do that?
