Hello,

I have a sheet called Daily Workload where cell B6 has the value =now()

Cell c26 has a numeric value in it that changes with a formula.

I have a CommandButton1 which when pressed resets the value of C26 to 0

Before the Value of C26 is changed back to 0, I want it to update another worksheet called Monthly Workload whith the amount, but placing it in the relevent monthly cell (eg if the date is 13/01/04 then I want the value of C26 to be added to the January cell).

Has any of you very kind people out there got any ideas?

PS Slowly but surely I am picking this up!!!!! It is a very steep learning curve though (I only started to use MS Excel since the 1st day I came on here and didn't even know what a spreadsheet was before then!)

If the task is exactly the same, have you tried recording a macro and starting from there ??

I tried to do that already but what I need to do is write some code to ascertain the value of the date so that when the value is pasted into the monthly worksheet it goes in against the right month. Does anyone know what I am trying to do? I'm not the best at explaining. Help!

If the Macro you recorded has code that even halfway works, then maybe pasting it to the board here will get some people to advise how to modify the code in the way you want?
If it does generally what you want, then the code should part explain what you are trying to do... I would suggest...
