I am a teacher using Excel 2003 and Windows XP.
What's the most efficient way for me to make (and then yearly edit) an IF formula that works in a semi-quarterly grade report to insert the right beginning and ending dates for the report depending on what the present date is? I put a =NOW() formula in A1 to refer to. These are the formulas I used last year.
=IF(A$1<38624,"From August 29, 2005",(IF(A$1<38694,"From October 31, 2005",(IF(A$1<38764,"From January 16, 2006",(IF(A$1<38828,"From March 20, 2006","")))))))
=IF(A$1<38624,"To September 23, 2005",(IF(A$1<38694,"To December 2, 2005",(IF(A$1<38764,"To February 10, 2006",(IF(A$1<38828,"To April 14, 2006",$B$248)))))))
