Updating Fields in Forms

Hello,
I have created a form with fields linked into a table. I have change one of the field types from a “TEXT” field to a Look up field. This is working fine in the table showing a list but in the form it does not show as a dropdown list.
How can I get this updated without removing the field in the form and adding it back in?
