is there a way to update information in a spreasheet without the update screen poping up for only 1 particular spreadsheet? I know you can adjust the global excel options to auto update without asking but can i specifically do this for only one spreadsheet/excel file?

Excel Facts

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
thuy.

i may be oversimplifying, but could you just check the workbook/worksheet name before you disable to update box? that way, if you are updating any other workbook/worksheet but the one you have designated, you will get the message.

just a thought. ben.
